Midjourney and PS for the cover art?
it certainly is, mate! I also just changed the audio in this video as I uploaded the wrong one last night as the drums were mixed wrongly.
What midjourney package do you use, George? As you seem quite prolific in these covers/thumbnails, I’m wondering whether you get big bills. I want to try if for a book cover but don’t want to lose all my token/run-time allocation while faffing around trying to learn the tool only to end up with a large bill for a pile of malformed garbage.
I use the standard plan. You might get away with the basic plan BUT with the standard plan if you only use it for one month you’ll get what you need, I’m sure, and you can stop it after the month if you have what you want. I never use all the hours I’m given, it’s really quick these days. I think even when I was working heavily on the book and other things elsewhere I have only needed to buy extra hours once. I get a lot of use out of it, and consider it worth the money. What do you want on the book cover? (I can tell you if certain things are possible, or not)

Have you tried Leonardo.ai ?
It’s another one with that has a free version, the free one is a bit limited but you can still do some interesting stuff with it.
I tried Midjourney back when it was free and also Craiyon, I think Leonardo gave me the best results but it was quite a while ago, these things are constantly evolving so not sure how it compares now.
No, mate. I’m quite happy with Midjourney and have got the measure of it now, although I’ll have a look at Leonardo. I’m interested in ones with less censorship, as the more time has gone on the more draconian they’ve all become to the point where you can’t even put blood in the prompt any more, and generating Conan style scenes with scantily clad ladies and monsters getting chopped in half is borderline impossible :p

You know what, the issue of censorship never even occurred to me, but a little less is better than nothing I suppose, still, blood seems like a bit of a strange thing to censor . I guess they need to control the content to a certain extent because there are some truly vile individuals out there, I dread to think of the sort of stuff they might want to make …. Octavius porn or something. :op
I usually only use AI to generate a basic composition and then I paint over the top using something like Krita or Gimp .
Maybe you could add your own blood in post, it depends what kind of thing you are going for I suppose.
