BARCADIAS final accounts and confirmation statement is (over) due by the end of this month May 2024. So our daily dose of schadenfreude will be served in due course. Unless the spoil sports at Norwich City Council dub BARCADIA a community asset too good to serve time on.
What does that actually mean, though? I mean, the UK government are fucking hopeless so I’d not imagine much will happen for them being late but who knows.
If Norwich or the UK Governemnt were to serve time on any company in the red then Norwich would be a ghost town. So many profit losing businesses remain open a) LTD = LIMITED LIABILITY (against debts or owing money to the bank which would be financially ruined or bankrupt if this were private banking) b) vanity projects and narcissism as covered. Years ago a gym went bankrupt due to a “mere” £2000 owed in 2011. Now a business can be -£50k in the red but trades year on year. Especially if you’ve got an LGBT friendly flag in the window of which Peepee does.
Also the UK Government is more worried about tax evasion in small to medium enterprises with audits served by the Crown Court to actually make money off businesses people do want. Like the strip clubs for example.
The UK government is an absolute joke these days. They seem to implement rules and regulations deliberately so the most fly-by-night wankers (such as PP) can ruin everything with impunity. It’s beyond a joke at this point and every one of these vanity businesses seem to be in the red, more or less, yet they’re allowed to continue operating.
BARCADIA has gotten some in-house pros to do its’ resurrected vegan menu with a pop-up. https://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/news/24306579.bun-x-pop-barcadia-retro-arcade-bar-norwich/
BUN-X not to be confused with BUM-FLIX. Or is it?
I also hear Peepee has gotten a deal on wholesale alcohol so he’s going big or going home for one last push.
Will the one two jab punch pay off?
I would very much doubt it, lol. He’s basically given over his business to another more popular one at this point, to try and get some shine off it. Completely transparent, and Barcadia is still crap underneath the new baubles!

Hi George, have you ever reviewed Chase H.Q?
Perhaps there’ll a MAME mod where you’re a cop in the Posche 928 chasing OJ Simpson’s white Ford Bronco, the car trailing blood and OJ leaning out of the window throwing black gloves at you.
I reviewed Chase HQ 2 for the BUMFLIX backers and, yes, I reviewed the ZX Spectrum and the Arcade version of the original. Not sure if they’re currently ‘live’ here as they were part of the videos hosted on the older server BUT they’re in the normal $1 and above tier patreon folder along with everything else that isn’t currently live.

Indeed, mate, I had zero idea that games like this were possible using that engine. It is indeed impressive.
