Thanks for the review George. I’ve only ever played it multiplayer, which is utter chaos, so thanks for showing one of the solo modes. From what you tested I agree with your comments about it being a bit of a one trick pony.

Split screen matey. Unlike goldeneye, being able to see other people’s screens offers up absolutely no advantage whatsoever.

You should give the DC port of Half Life a go. It was ready to go and got binned at the last second.

I am pretty sure you can use the keyboard and mouse on dc halflife, I think it was one of few games I used the mouse with.

Typing of the dead is a bloody excellent game for the old Dreamcast keyboard.

You should check out Bangai-O on the Dreamcast. It’s a frenetic shit-fizz shooter game.

Ikaruga is the real killer – change your ship to white and you can collect the white bullets instead of them damaging you. Same as for switching to black. Coordination of the colour to switch to is key to survival.

Such a good game, probably the first modern bullet hell game I played.

The treasure collection is also excellent if you haven’t tried it.

It was one of the games that got released about the same time as the unreleased half life did the rounds on the Dreamcast pir8 scene.

Try Tokyo bus driver for a real “wtfff”. You may need to learn Japanese
first though before playing as you keep losing points for all sorts of infringements e.g. not indicating, arriving late etc
