Apart from the obvious cretins who deserve to be called out, the THGM’s and LD’s, and RCL’s of this world etc, I’ll never understand why there’s so much bitterness and in-fighting in the retro gaming community. For that kind of nonsense it seems to be one of the worst communities going which is a shame. I’ve never had any dealings with the likes of Larry Bundy, nor do I watch any of his content, but I remember once I posted a link to a Metal Jesus video in one of the retro facebook groups, as the video was, in my opinion, pretty cool, and I remember Larry popped up and posted some really snide comment, as he clearly didn’t like Metal Jesus. I just remember at the time thinking that it made him come across as a bitter old cunt and was unnecessary, and some of his sad acolytes joined in as well. Being the type of person I am I fought back and gave them shit back, but I remember thinking I can’t be arsed with this bullshit and what comes across as clear jealousy. It’s prevented me from posting anything in public retro groups any more because I simply can’t be arsed with that sort of pathetic bollocks from sad grown men. They’re all as bad as one another to be honest mate. If someone deserves to be called out I’m all for it (and usually you’re the man to do it mate), but this cat fighting and bitchiness for the sake of it kinda ruins what should be a great community.

I get that he was angry about Larry slagging him off, but he’s always angry, usually about nothing.
It really seemed to me that the whole 5 grand bet thing was him just bragging how much money that he (probably hasn’t) got, just like how he brags about his incredible Nintendo collection that he doesn’t play.
And that bloody Nintendo book, that he stole from everyone else to write.

From personal experience with Larry, having watched a lot of his videos, seen a lot of his comments in on others videos and bought his awful book..
It’s fair to say his actual gaming knowledge is extremely limited.
He’s used the Wotsit for videos and his book and the community had to post corrections to what was claimed as fact.
Larry’s own comments are often wrong or only half the story, he has no idea how to quote in context.
And behind the scenes he’s blabbed, belittled and betrayed the trust of… more from the UK circle jerk scene than i can count.
He classes them as friends, then runs around what they passing on what they gave him and said in confidentiality.
He’s absolute scum.
They’re both twats, though fair play to Larry at least he doesn’t look like Richard Richard from Bottom anymore now he’s lost all that weight.
